David
A. Walker, D.O.
After graduating with
a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry
from Northwestern Oklahoma State University, Dr. Walker
earned his doctor of Osteopathy degree from the Kansas
City college of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Walker's post-graduate
education includes Internal Medicine in St. Louis MO.,
and Harrisburg, PA., and a Fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine
at Ingham Medical Center in Lansing, Michigan. His sleep
medicine training was done at Ingham Medical Center
in Lansing, Michigan, with additional course study at
Stanford University in California.
Dr. Walker started the first sleep center in Northern
Michigan in 1986, the Northwest Michigan Sleep Center
in Traverse City. This became the Munson Sleep Disorders
Center, and Dr. Walker has been the Medical Director
since its inception, guiding it to become an accredited
center in 1994. He started the Alpena General Sleep
Disorders Center in 1996 and served as Medical Director
until June 2004. he is also currently the Medical Director
of the Cadillac Mercy Sleep Disorders Center which he
started in 1998.
He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary
Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Disorders
Medicine. He is a Fellow of both the American College
of Chest Physicians and American Board of Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Walker is married and the father of two daughters
and one son. |

Shar
Shar is an administrative
assistant with many years experience in the medical
environment. You may speak with her on the phone
and see her smiling face at the front window as
you check in. |
Deb
Deb is our clinical
and clerical assistant. You may be talking with
her on the telephone, and in the office as she
assists the practitioners with patient visits. |
Suzann
Suzann is our insurance/accounts specialist. She assists in filing claims on behalf of our patients, and follows through on patient and insurance accounts. |
Becky
Becky is a registered
nurse. She is also the business manager for the
practice. She oversees all aspects of a busy practice,
including accounting and scheduling, and plans
the patient education programs we offer. |
